About the Part Time Kitchen Assistant job

The purpose of your role will be to oversee the day-to-day management of the NPD kitchen ensuring that all samples requests (bulk ingredients / retail packs / NPD samples) are delivered efficiently, stock levels are sufficient, resolve any relevant issues and provide support for ongoing projects.

Key tasks

• Prepare and send samples for the NPD team, manage stock control and rotation of ingredients, samples, and packaging levels.
• Order stock replenishments, pick ingredients for the technical department, and coordinate efficiently with other departments.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the NPD kitchen, assist with projects, and manage incoming parcels and benchmarking samples while minimising costs.
• Build knowledge of ingredients, packaging, and maintain standards for product safety, legality, traceability, quality, hygiene, and housekeeping.

About You

• A driving license and your own transport are essential due to the factory’s location.
• Computer literacy, strong administration and organisational skills are a must.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions for weights and percentages.
• Pro-active and self-motivated.

This role would suit a person with other commitments such a family, children/school runs etc. The working hours are flexible part time hours and can be worked around current commitments.
