About the Raw Materials Planner job
The purpose of your role will be to play an essential role in balancing supply and demand, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring the efficient operation of food manufacturing processes.
Key tasks
- Determine required materials and generate purchase orders while ensuring that all materials meet specifications, quality standards, and cost-efficiency. Manage stock levels, reconciliations, inventory issues, and oversee the supply and delivery of raw materials.
- Ensure a consistent and adequate supply of materials for production by coordinating with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, and supplier payments. Liaise with suppliers and distributors to maintain effective communication on ingredient quality.
- Track production volume and monitor customer demand patterns and purchasing trends. Report all price changes to relevant internal departments and support the wider team in sourcing new suppliers and engaging in tender processes with existing suppliers.
- Follow food and feed safety, hygiene, and housekeeping procedures. Escalate any issues that could affect customer service to the site manager and technical manager while supporting visits, audits, and other requests as needed.
About You
- Previous experience in similar position is essential to be successful within this role, ideally in Ingredients sourcing of desserts/ bakery.
- A background of Stock Management, ERP systems and Production planning and scheduling of ingredients.

The Raw Materials Planner job (ref:8783) is based in Corby, Northamptonshire and is paying £38,000 according to your experience.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, Office Hours (with flexibility).
