About the QC Technician job
The purpose of your role will be to conduct efficient, accurate, and safe testing of ingredients and finished products, optimising materials and equipment. Organise and perform organoleptic tests, and manage the release of finished products once they meet all quality and food safety standards.
Key tasks
- Plan and perform quality tests efficiently, ensuring QC Technicians have necessary resources, and complete all tasks according to test methods, re-sampling where results deviate from specifications.
- Manage the release of finished products and raw materials in the AX system, ensuring all paperwork is correct and addressing any non-conformances with suppliers.
- Conduct internal audits, environmental monitoring, calibration tasks, and quality-related projects while maintaining accurate records of results and progress.
- Assist with customer complaint investigations, suggest improvements in operations, and ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and safely always used.
About You
- Strong understanding of Quality Control/Assurance in the food industry.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy and effective team working and communication skills.
- Experience in the ingredients or flavour industry and familiarity with IT/LIMS systems is a plus (full training provided).

The QC Technician job (ref:8760) is based in Buckinghamshire and is paying £25,000 to £28,000 per annum according to your experience.
The package includes 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension - employer matches up to 4%, private medical, dental assistance, life assurance, employee assistance programme.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, Office Hours - 35 hours a week.
