About the Quality Technician job
The purpose of your role will be to comply with all company hygiene, environmental and health and safety requirements whilst supporting the production team and be involved in the product sampling process.
Key tasks
- Arrange QC testing of all materials for release and arrange samples to be dispatched to the lab as well as preparing samples for external testing.
- Carry out product testing including moisture, GCMS and microbiology swabs and retain these samples for storage and catalogue and provide accurate reports.
- Support the business with specific projects where required.
- Upload and maintain accurate data on file and within the company IT platform.
- Conduct factory audits and maintain and calibrate testing equipment.
About You
The successful candidate should be educated to GCSE level or equivalent at Grade C or above in Maths and English, and competent in using Microsoft Office and Outlook, including Word and Excel.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment or within the food industry however is not essential.
- Work well within a busy team environment, with the ability to prioritise workload efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills with a flexible approach to work.
- Full Clean Driving License.

The Quality Technician job is based in Somerset and is paying a competitive salary according to your experience.
The working hours are 8:45am – 4:45pm Monday and Thursday and 8:45am – 4:00pm on a Friday. The working week is 40 hours with paid lunch breaks.
