About the Purchasing Manager job

The purpose of your role will be to play a crucially strategic role in ensuring that the company has a steady and cost-effective supply of the required raw materials, ingredients, and other necessary goods required for production. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with the company’s suppliers and vendors. Additionally, you will manage the execution of their supply and production strategies.

Key tasks

• Lead procurement on-site and step in as Head of Purchasing when needed.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies, ensuring supply security and favourable supplier contracts.
• Analyse market trends and introduce supplier innovations to maintain a competitive edge.
• Manage and mentor two Buyers, setting objectives and conducting performance reviews.

About You

The successful candidate will be degree educated with FMCG manufacturing experience, specialising in direct spending on raw materials and packaging, with Microsoft Office proficiency.

• MCIPS Qualified would be desirable however not essential.
• Multi-site procurement responsibility would be preferable.
