About the Development Technologist job
The successful candidate will be a vital part of the NPD team, providing essential support to the Product Managers. Key responsibilities include organising, preparing, and cooking samples, as well as contributing to the development of new and innovative food products.
Key tasks
- Support Product Managers in developing various food products and assist with customer presentations, quality panels, and communication.
- Manage sample preparation, cooking for tasting panels, shipment organisation, and stock rotation of chilled, frozen, and ambient samples.
- Complete necessary development documents for customers and suppliers, and maintain category knowledge through store visits, market data, and food trends.
- Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, factory, technical, supply chain) and external partners to support multiple projects and achieve team objectives.
About You
The successful candidate could be someone with a real passion for food innovation or someone looking into step into a development role, would also suit a food science graduate.
- A passion for food and an interest in restaurant and retail trends, packaging innovation, and exploring new ingredients.
- Previous product development experience (a plus, but not essential).

The Development Technologist job (ref:8768) is based in Worcestershire and is paying £25,000 - £28,000 according to your experience.
The working hours are 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
