NPD Technologist
£22,000 - £25,000 Location: Cheshire Product: Ingredients Ref: 8175This role is working for a successful, BRC AA Graded food manufacturer.
The business produces high-quality food products and exceptional service to enable their food manufacturing customers to innovate and increase productivity without compromising on quality.
About the NPD Technologist job
The purpose of your role will be to support the NPD Manager with the development and innovation of products, liaising with all departments to ensure products and services are supplied within agreed specifications.
Key tasks:
- Create ideas for future trends from internal and external briefs in line with the business strategy.
- Keep up to date with key development trends within the food industry.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers, external contacts, and colleagues.
- Prepare recipes and action plans with the NPD Manager using nutritional information and specifications.
- Prepare bench scale samples, review with customers, and organise shipment.
- Organise and lead factory trials.
- Contribute to HACCP and hygiene, GMP for the site and NPD.
Skills & experience required for the NPD Technologist job
- Ideally educated to a degree level in a food science, food technology or bakery technology subject.
- Previous food product development experience is preferred, this could be from a university placement.
- Understanding of the food NPD process, from concept to launch.
- Additional food qualifications such as Food Hygiene, Food Safety etc. is an advantage.

The NPD Technologist job is based in Cheshire and is paying £22,000 - £25,000 according to your experience.
The working hours are Monday to Thursday, 8 am to 4 pm and (3 pm finish on Friday).
