      Assistant Production Manager

      The job

      This is a brand-new position due to company growth. This is an admin focused production role with the opportunity to progress into a Production Manager role in the future.

      Key tasks of the Assistant Production Manager:

      • Lead the production team to meet daily production plans.
      • Deputise for the Production Manager when required.
      • Oversee the team of Shift Production Leaders and Production Operatives in daily activities.
      • Produce 6 weeks running production plan.
      • Manage agreed staff levels to achieve production plans.
      • Assist with the recruitment process including interviews, inductions, and training for new starters.
      • Cover HR related issues including investigations, disciplinary, grievance handling as well as absence management.
      • Ensure adherence to company policies relating to Health and Safety when reporting accidents or near miss incidents and have a general awareness for H&S in the workplace.

      About you

      You will have production supervisory, team leading or management experience from within food manufacturing environment, most preferably chilled/frozen prepared foods. 

      Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills are essential plus a responsible, committed, and positive approach.

      Food manufacturing related qualifications such as Food Safety, Food Hygiene etc. are also an advantage.

      The Assistant Production Manager job is based in North West London and is paying c. £30,000 according to your experience.

      The working hours are Monday - Friday, office hours with some flexibility required.
