You will be working for an extremely successful and well-established manufacturer which is dedicated to producing high quality, authentic products.
They are dedicated to supplying the retail, wholesale, and foodservice sectors with a continuously evolving range to meet customer needs.
As Buying Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing stock, food ingredients and packaging at the most optimal price plus effectively manage suppliers in line with the long-term business strategy. The role also involves warehouse management.
- Develop purchasing policies and procedures to ensure consistency.
- Managing suppliers, relationships, and service level agreements.
- Negotiate and administration of purchasing contracts.
- Payment terms negotiation, optimisation, and management.
- Stock and materials management.
- Packaging and transport regulatory awareness, compliance, and information communication.
Ideally educated to a degree/HND level in a supply chain, procurement, or related business discipline, you will possess a solid buying/purchasing track record within food manufacturing.
You will be passionate about sustainability, availability, and financials plus possess previous supplier management experience; having the ability to build strong relationships and manage multiple supply channels.
You will be IT literate including SAP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
CIPS membership is also desirable.
Strong communication and organisation skills are essential, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to utilise your skills.
The Buying Manager job is based in the West London region and is paying £40,000 - £50,000 according to experience.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5.30 pm.
