Head of Pastry (Production Manager)£44,000 - £50,000 & bonus Product: Bakery Ref: 63002
This is a rewarding role working for a long-established, highly -quality bakery manufacturer.
Sticking to traditional bakery production methods, the business strives to operate as environmentally responsible as possible to produce a wide range of organic and natural products.
This role is working within the company’s brand new, state of the art bakery facility.
As Head of Pastry, you will be responsible for leading the pastry team’s (12 reports) day-to-day operations plus oversee and achieve an ambitious food product development programme for foodservice, retailer and company branded products.
As a key part of the senior management team, you will coach and develop the production team ensuring operational excellence, manage the department budget in conjunction with the MD, represent the business with key customers plus be involved in wider business planning.
To be considered for the Head of Pastry job, you will have a solid production/operations track record within a central food production unit or industrial bakery manufacturing environment.
An understanding of pastry related products is essential i.e. sweet pastries, patisserie, desserts, pie, savoury pastry products or similar.
An ideal background would be a Pastry Chef who has worked their way up to management/supervisor level in food manufacturing and is looking for progression.
The Head of Pastry (Production Manager) is based in the London region and is paying £44,000 - £50,000 according to your experience plus 10% performance bonus.
