Hygiene Team Leader (Nights)

You will be working for a fast-growing brand name which is passionate about using the best ingredients to produce delicious, chilled products using traditional methods. Their innovative products are supplied to major retailers all throughout the UK.

The job

Reporting to the Production Shift Manager, your job will be to ensure the washroom area, staff facilities and offices are cleaned to the highest standard through your team of Washroom Hygiene Operatives and Facilities Hygiene Operatives.

Core duties:

• Supervise the washroom hygiene team, ensure operatives are correctly following set procedures, and maintaining excellent hygiene standards
• Monitor and improve standards of cleanliness and hygiene in wash up area
• Lead by example, by assisting your team in their duties where needed
• Deal with any performance issues with the team swiftly and efficiently
• Carrying out regular spot checks / audits and reporting back to the Shift Manager
• Carrying out stock level checks on equipment and consumables
• Ensuring your team are always wearing the appropriate PPE

Your experience

To be considered for the Hygiene Team Leader job, you will have previous supervisory or team leading experience within an FMCG environment – most ideally food manufacturing with knowledge of food production hygiene and cleaning procedures/standards.

This is a hands-on role; therefore, you will need the ability to be on your feet for long periods of time. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on your own initiative is also required.

Qualifications such as Level 2 Food Safety, Food Hygiene etc. would be highly desirable.

The Hygiene Team Leader job is based in West Sussex and is paying up to £26,000, according to individual experience, with annual set salary increases.

This is a night shift role working 4 nights on, 4 nights off, 7 pm – 7 am.
