Product Manager (Technical / NPD)

The job

A fantastic and exciting role as a Product Manager has become available. This is an opportunity to manage the day-to-day relationship with one of the major UK retailers, ensuring all their technical requirements are met – you will be the retailer’s key point of contact within the business and will build a strong working relationship through daily customer interaction.

You will manage and progress exciting food NPD projects for the retailer – once products are developed by the highly talented NPD team, it will then be your responsibility to bring the product to shelf (Post Stage 3 NPD Process) and manage all technical requirements along the way such as labelling, auditing, artwork etc.

This is a fast-paced role which will give you the opportunity to work on many exciting and varied food innovation projects, together with the satisfaction of seeing your products on the supermarket shelves. The company also wants to offer the right candidate future progression and career development in the business.

Your experience

We are looking for a confident and dedicated individual with a good technical experience within food manufacturing. You will have experience working directly with customers - at least one main UK retailer and/or foodservice companies.

Ideally educated to a degree/HND level in food science, food safety or similar discipline, you will have excellent communication and relationship-building skills plus the confidence to manage customer technical requirements in a fast-paced environment.

This role may also suit someone from a food NPD background with excellent process development and technical administration understanding.

A Full UK Driving Licence is also required.
