Specifications Technologist£25,000 Location: North West Product: Prepared Ref: 62771
This role is working for an extremely successful, BRC AA Graded food manufacturer. The business which is dedicated to supplying high quality products and combined with exceptional service, enable their food manufacturing customers to innovate and increase productivity without compromising on quality.
As Specifications Technologist, you will support the technical team by undertaking tasks related to compliance, codes of practice and legal requirements plus be responsible for the maintenance of technical documentation.
- Manage HACCP documentation.
- Create and issue customer & internal specifications.
- Contacting suppliers for documentation as part of the product approval process.
- Manage complaint investigations.
- Creating and issuing certificates of analysis to customers.
- Update and edit SOPS/Policies and QMS.
- Assist and participate with site audits BRC, customer, RSPO etc.
To be considered for the Specifications Technologist job, you will ideally be educated to a degree level in a food science, food technology or related subject and possess previous food manufacturing technical administration experience. This could be from maybe a University placement or post-grad role.
You will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of writing finished product specifications, a basic understanding of BRC standards plus preferably be a holder of HACCP and Food Safety qualifications. Legal labelling training is also an advantage.
Excellent attention to detail is essential together with good organisational skills and IT literacy.
The Specifications Technologist job is based in the North West region and is paying £25,000.
The working hours are Monday to Thursday (8 am – 4.30 pm) and Fridays (7.30 am – 3 pm).
