Purchasing & Technical Assistant (Contract)£20,000 - £25,000 Location: West Midlands Product: Chilled Ref: 61836
The business partner with leading processors from around the globe to source the best quality food and specialist ingredients. Their focus is providing a first class wholesale foods supply and distribution service to the foodservice and trade sectors here in the U.K.
This is a unique opportunity where you will work in an important administrative role with both technical and purchasing responsibilities.
You will keep an accurate account of stock and ordering activities, arrange the purchasing of ingredients, packaging and other supplies, ensure all resources comply with company H&S / food safety policies, monitor product quality, complete technical documentation and also create and update finished product specifications.
You will be a highly organised and motivated individual who has previous food industry experience within either a technical or purchasing capacity, full training will be given however excellent attention to detail is essential. You will have good IT skills including MS Office, have a flexible approach plus possess excellent communication skills.
The Purchasing & Technical Assistant job is based in the West Midlands region and is paying £20,000 - £25,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.
This role is a 12 month fixed-term contract.
