The business is a British food manufacturer with a rich history producing very high-quality food products. They combine traditional techniques with an innovative approach to ensure the creation of delicious tasting products every time.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, as Technical & Label Coordinator, you will responsible for responsible in creating and approving food product labels from development to launch. You will also provide technical, analytical, and administrative support to the QA function plus work closely with packing departments to maintain a live bible of labels and its control.
You will ensure labels comply with different country legalities and customer requirements plus ensure labels and artwork are approved prior to production runs.
This is an excellent entry-level role for someone with a passion for learning the technical/labelling function within a food production business. The company will put the successful applicant on an industry recognised labelling course.
You will be educated to a degree level in a food science, food technology or similar discipline and would suit an individual looking for their first job in the food manufacturing industry.
Any previous food technical experience would be an advantage, either from a university placement or full-time job. To succeed, you will enjoy a fast-paced environment, have a team approach and possess excellent communication skills.
Good analytical and IT skills are essential, ideally with knowledge of software for creating new artwork or labels. ANY HACCP, BRC and retailer practices knowledge would also be a great advantage.
The Technical & Label Coordinator job is based in the North West region and is paying £18,000 - £20,000 according to individual skills and previous experience.
