This is a challenging and rewarding role working for a long-established manufacturer. Sticking to traditional manufacturing methods, the business strives to operate as environmentally responsible as possible to produce a wide range of organic and natural products.
This role is working in a brand new, state of the art facility, which is now the largest craft bakery in London.
As Head of Pastry (Production Manager), you will be responsible for leading the pastry team’s (14 reports) day-to-day operations plus oversee and achieve an ambitious food product development programme for foodservice, retailer and company branded products.
As a key part of the senior management team, you will coach and develop the production team ensuring operational excellence, manage the department budget in conjunction with the MD, represent the business with key customers plus be involved in wider business planning.
To be considered for the Head of Pastry (Production Manager) job, you will have a solid production/operations track record within a central food production unit, wholesale or industrial manufacturing environment.
A strong understanding and experience of working with pasty related products is essential i.e. pastries, patisserie, desserts, savoury pastry products or similar. An ideal background would be a Pastry Chef who has worked their way up to management/supervisor level in food manufacturing and is looking for progression.
The Head of Pastry (Production Manager) is based in the London region and is paying £45,000.
