      Retail Buyer (Groceries) - Hybrid

      About the Retail Buyer (Groceries) job

      As a Retail Buyer you will develop, implement, and review a category plan that leverages the company’s scale and efficiency with suppliers to reduce cost of goods, optimise terms and improve profitability, whilst maintaining security of supply.  All applicants must have FULL rights to work in the UK, Sponsorship is not available.

      Key tasks

      • Negotiating on a national basis and delivering national income budget.
      • Ensuring supply base is robust and work with suppliers to resolve issues.
      • Recognise opportunities to increase promotional investment.
      • Identifying potential seasonal product opportunities in own category.
      • Take accountability of negotiation of cost price increases and ensuring timelines are optimal.

      About You

      The successful candidate shall possess 2-3 years’ experience of negotiating at a high level within a recognised brand/retailer, with a background of analysing and interpreting data as well as forecasting and conducting category reviews and has successfully negotiated with multiple stakeholders.

      • Experience in managing promotions & managing suppliers including assessing strengths and weaknesses.
      • A Seasonal Buying background, including identifying product opportunities.
      • An understanding of Cost price Management “CPI” and market dynamics.
      • Working and adhering to deadlines.

      The Retail Buyer (Groceries) job is based in North London and offers hybrid working and is paying up to £50,000 plus bonus (10%) according to your experience. All applicants must have FULL rights to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available.
