About the Food Safety Auditor - Canada job
The business is looking to employ a Food Safety Auditor who will conduct comprehensive and detailed food safety audits of client food manufacturing facilities.
You will provide technical training to management and employees regarding the adequacy of food safety programs, integrated pest management, operational methods, personnel practices and maintenance for food safety and cleaning practices.
You will communicate to each facility’s management team on their existing compliance levels plus prepare a written follow-up report; recapping all issues, observations and, if needed, corrective actions that should be taken.
About You
You will be a proactive and focused individual who is ideally educated to a degree level in a food science or related food safety discipline.
A strong food manufacturing track record in a food safety related position, together with supplier auditing experience is required, preferably with a varied food product background.
It is not essential to have specific GFSI food safety systems knowledge (BRC, FSSC, IFS), although advantageous, as long as you possess the passion to be an inspirational food safety teacher.
You must be able to travel extensively throughout Canada and hold a full and valid driving licence.
Fluency in English and French is essential.

The Food Safety Auditor job is based in Canada and is paying CAN$ 110,000 - CAN$ 125,000 per annum (US$ c. 80,000 - $90,000 / GBP c. £65,000 - £75,000) according to your experience.
The package includes an annual discretionary bonus, health insurance, dental & vision insurances/plans, retirement plan, life insurance, vacation leave, sick leave and all expenses reimbursed amongst other benefits.
