Materials Scheduler (Maternity Contract)£22,000 Location: Home Counties / South Central Product: Prepared Ref: 61618
A position has arisen for a Materials Scheduler working for a dynamic food business which manufactures high end products. They work with their customers to develop an innovative, great tasting product range and have a great reputation for supply of retailer brand and work very closely with leading retail multiples and food manufacturers.
As Materials Scheduler, you will plan and manage the inventory of raw materials and packaging to ensure timely delivery to meet the production plan whilst maintaining accurate stock profile and adhering to cost, minimum load and space restrictions.
You will liaise with the Production Planners to calculate volumes of raw materials and packaging required, progress purchase orders with suppliers notifying the planners of any potential supply issues, react to any changes in the production plans which may result in reviewing existing purchase orders, work with the Stock Controllers to ensure that any daily variances and stock outs are investigated, take ownership for the booking in process and also liaise with the Goods In team to make sure delivery calendar is well maintained.
You will be a highly organised and detail orientated individual who has excellent IT skills, preferably with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience of working in a similar planning or supply chain role within FMCG / food manufacturing is a distinct benefit. You will also be a confident communicator and have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
The Materials Scheduler job is based in the Home Counties / South Central region and is paying £22,000. This is a contract position with a duration of 6 months.
