The purpose of the role will be to ensure efficient running of all machinery and equipment on site. You will be involved in ensuring that all machines are running to optimum performance at all times. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills with the ability to work on their own initiative including at times of pressure. You must have a good working knowledge of PLC control systems, inverter drives and pneumatic systems, with an electrical bias C&G or above qualification and experience working within the chilled food industry.

The ideal applicant will have experience within the food manufacturing industry, bakery ideally, having good communication and people skills. The purpose of this role is to deliver effective maintenance of plant and equipment in line with maintenance plans and statutory requirements for our client, a large processor of poultry for the major multiples. Ideally, you will have an electrical bias.

Within this large and multi-sited poultry processor, your role will be to plan, co-ordinate and control all shift based engineering activities, ensuring equipment availability meets production targets as well as ensuring that safe working practices are followed at all times. Someone with similar experience and relevant qualifications would be ideal. Shift patterns are to be decided / discussed but are most likely to include rotating days, lates and nights.
