NPD Manager£28,000 - £35,000 Location: Midlands Product: Bakery Ref: 61148
We are seeking a talented individual to join an innovative, high quality business which manufactures both branded and own label products for retail, wholesale and foodservice customers both in the UK and overseas.
As NPD Manager, you will take ownership and be responsible for the development programme from concept through to launch, ensuring projects run within time frames and costing specified.
You will design and produce new and innovative products in response to specific briefs, present new product ideas, manage the critical path process, research and source new ingredients, ensure ingredients and nutritional requirements conform to current legislation, ensure all requirements for quality, safety and performance are met and research current consumer markets to ensure the business maintains a competitive edge in the market.
You will also manage and develop the talented product development team, providing coaching and support to ensure each individual can perform to the best of their ability and therefore positively contribute to the ongoing success of the business.
We are looking for a confident, independent and organised individual who can demonstrate solid NPD experience from within food manufacturing, most preferably from within bakery or closely related category. You will have an excellent understanding of formal product development processes, be highly analytical and possess strong communication, project management & presentation skills. You will also have experience of working with and presenting to major retailers.
The NPD Manager job is based in the Midlands region and is paying £28,000 - £35,000 according to individual skills and previous experience.
